I shed tears as memories were reawaken in my mind of my favourite gnocchi dish. As you said and as I’ve often wondered, were these really a ‘thing’’? I had no knowledge until I read your post that they are, in fact, called gnocchi di susine. Thank you sister for your eloquent tribute to honour our mother who I’ve always thought of as an excellent cook; no formal training needed!
