I’m Elizabeth, a part-time home cook and baker, and a fulltime dreamer. I’m so glad you’re here.
Delicious Bits is my way of sharing the things that catch my eye and tug at my heart: thoughtful moments, good food, curious finds, the joy tucked into everyday life—and always, always a recipe. It might be a deep dive into an ingredient, a story, or just something I can't stop thinking about, all wrapped up in something good to eat.
Think of it as a note from a friend who loves to cook and ponder—using my curiosity and love for the magic tucked inside everyday moments to create a space here for reflection and joy.
Rooted in memories of my mother’s home cooking, the cookbooks I began collecting as a teenager (now over 500 and counting!), and travels I’ve been fortunate to experience as an adult, Delicious Bits is as much about the ideas and emotions these experiences spark as it is about the food.
Tell me about yourself
I believe in seasons, senses, full moons, and the power of the perfect red lipstick to turn any day into a celebration. Curiosity is my superpower, generosity of spirit is my MO, and laughing at myself is a skill I’ll never perfect—or stop practicing.
I love my husband, my cats, the sound of cardinals at dusk, the scent of baking bread, watching the sunrise, and peonies. Ask me tomorrow, and the list might change—although my husband and cats are constants.

Delicious Bits is a weekly dispatch for adventurous readers drawn to discovery, contemplation, and the shared experience of food, with recipes woven into a broader journey of musings and meaning.
Like a well-loved recipe, the narratives gathered here are meant to be shared. The recipes span a world of flavours and styles, but they all have one thing in common: a focus on seasonal ingredients.
Many are inspired by gems pulled from cookbooks—classic, contemporary, unexpected, often long forgotten.
This is a place to savour life in all its impermanent, delicious beauty.
